Issue

Moving products from an order back to the cart in the Commerce Admin results in quantity mismatch.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a user through the storefront. 2. Add a product to the shopping cart with quantity = 5. 3. Go to the Admin panel and open the user account where the product was added. 4. Click Create Order. 5. In the left panel, you can view customer's activities, including the product and quantity added. 6. Add the product to the order. 7. Update the quantity = 4 in the main order section. 8. Click Update Items and Quantities button. 9. Transfer the selected items from the order back to the customer's shopping cart.

Adobe's page lists 2.4.6-p9 - 2.4.6-p11, 2.4.7-p4 - 2.4.7-p6 as compatible; the versions below are resolved from the current QPT constraints and are the ones the tool will offer.

Adobe scheduled the permanent fix for 2.4.9.

Install

Install the Quality Patches Tool with composer require magento/quality-patches, apply the prerequisites listed for all files applicable to your distribution and version first, then run vendor/bin/magento-patches apply ACSD-66301. On Cloud, add ACSD-66301 under stage.build.QUALITY_PATCHES in .magento.env.yaml.

For cweagans/composer-patches, choose a compatible version below and download the bundle. Copy its ACSD-66301/ folder into patches/composer/, merge composer.patches.json into composer.json, then run composer install. Bundle prerequisites the same way and list them first. Paths are relative to each package root, using the default -p1 level. Prefer local files when configuring composer-patches; a remote URL can change.
