Issue

Category loading is slow or times out when a large number of categories and products are involved.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a new clean instance. 1. Create categories and products: 1. Copy setup/performance-toolkit to ./var to make profiles editable. 1. Edit small.xml profile and set categories to 2500 and products to 250000. 1. Run bin/magento setup:performance:generate-fixtures var/setup/performance-toolkit/profiles/ce/small.xml 1. Verify all categories are set as anchors by running the following query: UPDATE catalog_category_entity_int set value = 1 where attribute_id = (select attribute_id from eav_attribute where attribute_code = 'is_anchor'); 1. Go to the Admin menu. 1. Confirm a deeper category structure exists. 1. Move Category 2 deeper into the Category 1 tree to reflect the intended hierarchy. 1. Reindex.

Adobe's page lists 2.4.7 - 2.4.7-p7 as compatible; the versions below are resolved from the current QPT constraints and are the ones the tool will offer.

Adobe scheduled the permanent fix for 2.4.9.

Install

Install the Quality Patches Tool with composer require magento/quality-patches, apply the prerequisites listed for all files applicable to your distribution and version first, then run vendor/bin/magento-patches apply ACSD-67102. On Cloud, add ACSD-67102 under stage.build.QUALITY_PATCHES in .magento.env.yaml.

For cweagans/composer-patches, choose a compatible version below and download the bundle. Copy its ACSD-67102/ folder into patches/composer/, merge composer.patches.json into composer.json, then run composer install. Bundle prerequisites the same way and list them first. Paths are relative to each package root, using the default -p1 level. Prefer local files when configuring composer-patches; a remote URL can change.
