Issue

Customers lose reward points when a credit memo is created.

Steps to reproduce

1. Go the Adobe Commerce Admin > Store > Settings > Configuration > Customers > Reward Points. 1. Change the setting: * Enable Reward Points Functionality = _Yes_ * Enable Reward Points Functionality on Storefront = _Yes_ * Customers May See Reward Points History = _Yes_ * Refund Reward Points Automatically = _No_ * Deduct Reward Points from Refund Amount Automatically = _Yes_ 1. Go to the Admin > Store > Other Settings > Reward Exchange Rates and click on Add New Rate. 1. Add new rate (1:1) and flush the cache. 1. Create a customer and add 10 reward points to this account. 1. Go to the Admin > Sales > Orders > Create New Order > Select the customer created in the previous step. 1. Select any product whose price is greater than the reward points. 1. Place an order via any payment method and the reward points. 1. Create an invoice for the order. 1. Create a credit memo, but do not refund the reward points.

Adobe's page lists 2.4.0 - 2.4.5-p4 as compatible; the versions below are resolved from the current QPT constraints and are the ones the tool will offer.

Adobe scheduled the permanent fix for 2.4.6.

Install

Install the Quality Patches Tool with composer require magento/quality-patches, apply the prerequisites listed for all files applicable to your distribution and version first, then run vendor/bin/magento-patches apply ACSD-47520. On Cloud, add ACSD-47520 under stage.build.QUALITY_PATCHES in .magento.env.yaml.

For cweagans/composer-patches, choose a compatible version below and download the bundle. Copy its ACSD-47520/ folder into patches/composer/, merge composer.patches.json into composer.json, then run composer install. Bundle prerequisites the same way and list them first. Paths are relative to each package root, using the default -p1 level. Prefer local files when configuring composer-patches; a remote URL can change.
