Issue

An internal error occurs on requesting cart details from GraphQL for an out-of-stock configurable product.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a configurable product with a few options. 1. Add an option for the above configurable product to the cart from the frontend (guest checkout). 1. Get the [ masked_id ] from the [ quote_id_mask ] db table for the above created quote. 1. Execute the following GraphQL query to get the above guest cart details. Add the [ masked_id ] received from step 3 in the query. { cart(cart_id: "masked_id") { items { product { name sku } ... on ConfigurableCartItem { configurable_options { configurable_product_option_uid option_label configurable_product_option_value_uid value_label } } quantity errors { code message } } } } 1. This will return the quote details without any issues. 1. Go to the backend and update the configurable product's Stock Status to Out of Stock. 1. Execute the same GraphQL query, as done in step 4.

Adobe's page lists 2.4.5 - 2.4.6-p1 as compatible; the versions below are resolved from the current QPT constraints and are the ones the tool will offer.

Install

Install the Quality Patches Tool with composer require magento/quality-patches, apply the prerequisites listed for all files applicable to your distribution and version first, then run vendor/bin/magento-patches apply ACSD-52921. On Cloud, add ACSD-52921 under stage.build.QUALITY_PATCHES in .magento.env.yaml.

For cweagans/composer-patches, choose a compatible version below and download the bundle. Copy its ACSD-52921/ folder into patches/composer/, merge composer.patches.json into composer.json, then run composer install. Bundle prerequisites the same way and list them first. Paths are relative to each package root, using the default -p1 level. Prefer local files when configuring composer-patches; a remote URL can change.
