Issue
Product alert email notifications ignore store view email settings.
Steps to reproduce
1. Use a website with at least two store views. 1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores > Settings > Configuration > Catalog > Catalog. In Product Alerts, set Allow Alert When Product Comes Back in Stock to Yes for the website scope. 1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores > Settings > Configuration > Catalog > Inventory. In Stock Options, set Display Out of Stock Products to Yes so that the out-of-stock product can be opened on the storefront. 1. On the Admin sidebar, go to Stores > Settings > Configuration > Advanced > System. In Mail Sending Settings, leave Disable Email Communications set to No in the Default Config scope. 1. Change the configuration scope to the non-default store view and set Disable Email Communications to Yes. 1. Create a customer account on the non-default storefront. 1. Go to Catalog > Products. 1. Create a simple product assigned to the website. 1. Set the product to Out of Stock. 1. Ensure that it is visible on the non-default storefront. 1. On the non-default storefront, open the out-of-stock product. 1. Select Notify me when this product is in stock. 1. Go to Catalog > Products and set the simple product to In Stock. 1. Wait for the catalog_product_alert cron job and the related consumer to process the alert. 1. Check the customer inbox.
Adobe's page lists 2.4.5 - 2.4.9 as compatible; the versions below are resolved from the current QPT constraints and are the ones the tool will offer.
Adobe scheduled the permanent fix for 2.4.10.
Install
Install the Quality Patches Tool with composer require magento/quality-patches, apply the prerequisites listed for all files applicable to your distribution and version first, then run vendor/bin/magento-patches apply ACP2E-4870. On Cloud, add ACP2E-4870 under stage.build.QUALITY_PATCHES in .magento.env.yaml.
For cweagans/composer-patches, choose a compatible version below and download the bundle. Copy its ACP2E-4870/ folder into patches/composer/, merge composer.patches.json into composer.json, then run composer install. Bundle prerequisites the same way and list them first. Paths are relative to each package root, using the default -p1 level. Prefer local files when configuring composer-patches; a remote URL can change.
