Issue
Products remain out of stock on the storefront after updating the backorder status via REST API.
Steps to reproduce
1. Install a clean instance with sample data. 1. Create a new inventory source. 1. Create a new inventory stock and assign the new source to it. 1. Assign the new source to product 24-MB01. 1. Set Source Item Status to In Stock for both product sources. 1. Set the quantity (QTY) to 0 for both product quantities. 1. Save the product. 1. Fetch the admin token from this endpoint URL: /rest/default/V1/integration/admin/token { "username":"admin", "password":"password" } 1. Update the product using the endpoint: /rest/default/V1/products { "product":{ "sku": "24-MB01", "extension_attributes": { "stock_item": { "stock_id": "1", "is_in_stock": "0", "use_config_backorders": "false", "backorders": "0" } } } } 1. Run the cron jobs twice (once to create schedules and once to run the schedule): bin/magento cron:run 1. Go to the frontend and check the product.
Adobe's page lists 2.4.4 - 2.4.7-p3 as compatible; the versions below are resolved from the current QPT constraints and are the ones the tool will offer.
Adobe scheduled the permanent fix for 2.4.8.
Install
Install the Quality Patches Tool with composer require magento/quality-patches, apply the prerequisites listed for all files applicable to your distribution and version first, then run vendor/bin/magento-patches apply ACSD-61805. On Cloud, add ACSD-61805 under stage.build.QUALITY_PATCHES in .magento.env.yaml.
For cweagans/composer-patches, choose a compatible version below and download the bundle. Copy its ACSD-61805/ folder into patches/composer/, merge composer.patches.json into composer.json, then run composer install. Bundle prerequisites the same way and list them first. Paths are relative to each package root, using the default -p1 level. Prefer local files when configuring composer-patches; a remote URL can change.
