Issue
In Adobe Commerce, changing the Used in Product Listing value for the special price attribute no longer affects how special prices are displayed for configurable products.
Steps to reproduce
1. Go to Stores > Attributes > Products. 1. Find the special_price attribute and navigate to Storefront Properties. 1. Change Used in Product Listing to No. 1. Create a configurable product with one child: * Name and SKU: Test * Price: $159.00 * Generate option based on color. Add a new color: Blue * Save 1. Open the child product and follow these steps: * Set a special price to $99.90 in Advanced Pricing * Change Visibility to Catalog, Search. 1. Open the simple product page and confirm that the special price is visible. 1. Open the configurable product page. 1. Select the blue product.
Adobe's page lists 2.4.4 - 2.4.7-p3 as compatible; the versions below are resolved from the current QPT constraints and are the ones the tool will offer.
Adobe scheduled the permanent fix for 2.4.8.
Install
Install the Quality Patches Tool with composer require magento/quality-patches, apply the prerequisites listed for all files applicable to your distribution and version first, then run vendor/bin/magento-patches apply ACSD-63299. On Cloud, add ACSD-63299 under stage.build.QUALITY_PATCHES in .magento.env.yaml.
For cweagans/composer-patches, choose a compatible version below and download the bundle. Copy its ACSD-63299/ folder into patches/composer/, merge composer.patches.json into composer.json, then run composer install. Bundle prerequisites the same way and list them first. Paths are relative to each package root, using the default -p1 level. Prefer local files when configuring composer-patches; a remote URL can change.
