The sales_*_async_insert cron jobs process only 100 entries per run when inserting records into the sales grid tables, even when more pending rows exist, resulting in incomplete updates to tables such as sales_order_grid. Quality patch ACSD-69237 for magento/module-sales applies to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce 2.4.4 to 2.4.8-p5.

Issue

The sales_*_async_insert cron jobs process only 100 entries per run when inserting records into the sales grid tables, even when more pending rows exist, resulting in incomplete updates to tables such as sales_order_grid.

Steps to reproduce

1. Generate 800 orders in the system. 1. Enable asynchronous indexing for the grids by navigating to: Configuration > Advanced > Developer > Grid Settings. 1. Verify the order count in the database: SELECT COUNT(*) FROM sales_order_grid; The result should be 800. 1. Delete the contents of the sales_order_grid table: DELETE FROM sales_order_grid; 1. Run the cron jobs that process the sales_*_async_insert queues. 1. Check the order count in the database again: SELECT COUNT(*) FROM sales_order_grid;

Adobe's page lists 2.4.4 - 2.4.8-p3 as compatible; the versions below are resolved from the current QPT constraints and are the ones the tool will offer.

Adobe scheduled the permanent fix for 2.4.9.

Copy its ACSD-69237/ folder into patches/composer/, merge composer.patches.json into composer.json, then run composer install. Bundle prerequisites the same way and list them first. Paths are relative to each package root, using the default -p1 level. Prefer local files when configuring composer-patches; a remote URL can change.
